Way to remove the fog?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I meant to ask you guys, if you know anything about the fog in Stronghold 3? Is there a way to remove it, or if there is a way to reduce the fog. The fog I am speaking about is visible when I zoom out as much as I can, or when I play around with free camera.

I am posting few screenshots I found on internet to show you what I mean.

This is a screenshot without the fog, ad this is where I found it.

On the other hand, here is a screenshot with the fog. This is where I found this one.

Not quite sure how to remove the fog, I don't think there is a way, but could you upload the first image to our gallery? I'd like the chance to put that on the homepage slideshow :)

Sure, I was doing just the same thing right now. :D I shall upload some of them now. :)

I played a free build game, and I was making some nice screenshots. :)

ADDITION: I hope you are able to see those screenshots at Steam?

That was the easiest way to upload them quickly, but I will upload them to SHN Gallery as well right now.

Providing the quality isn't sacrificed I'd say yes.

That's right, so you said before.

That's great. thanks you! :)

I shall also submit a screenshot of the entire castle.

ADDITION:

So, this is my mighty castle! :) It looks pretty good with the fog as well though... In fact, this time with the fog it might be looking even better.

Speaking about the fog, I assumed it is not possible to remove it, or anything like that, but I also concluded that one shouldn't worry about that in fact.

Besides that., few more good things came out of this tread, such as those good looking screenshots - one you can see here, and others are in the gallery. :)

    • A way of sustaining gold!

So any SH2 player knows that gold is one of the most important resources. It's used for troops, defences, trading and even some buildings. So what if you're low? You can't train troops, can't keep a decent working economy, can't even buy the wood you so desperately need.   From playing multiplayer yesterday with a certain Lord_Chris, him and I now know how important it is to keep a steady amount of gold for backup. Especially if you have the upper hand and you are taken out from a few knights an

In this tread I wanted to ask you guys what are your favorite punishing methods?   Do you like to put them in stocks, or to chop their had, and to deal with that criminal instantly, or some other way? :)   Besides that, what method do you think is most effective, and how to you place your guard posts to catch those criminals as soon as possible? :)

    • Stretch game screen / Remove the two vertical black bars

Hi. When I start Crusader on my laptop, and when I set resolution to 1024x786, I get the two vertical black bars. When I set the resolution to 1920x1080, then it looks fine, but then everything is too tiny. I would like to be able to play the game on resolution 1024x768, but without those black bars. Can you tell how could I stretch the screen in the game? I hope there is a way to force that.   I have this issue on a Windows 10 laptop, but have noticed this on a Windows 7 laptop as well.   EDIT:

    • So, Stronghold 3 DOES have fog of war!

I decided to write few interesting things about this game. I have recently bought it, and after playing it for a while I can say that my impression is that I believe Stronghold 3's reputation is not entirely justified. I agree, it does have some bugs, such as your or enemy soldiers being stuck at some places, but there are similar things in Crusader 1 as well! We all know how it can happen pretty often for our archers in Crusader 1 to get stuck at one peace of crenelation of the wall, after what
